About me

Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog page, it means alot.

My name is Hannah and I live in Manchester, UK with my husband. ūüôā

I have visited a total of 33 countries….. ( but who’s counting?)¬† and I don’t plan on stopping just yet as there is still so much to see.

I’ve always had a deep passion for travelling. It all started when I was 14 when my dad took my family to NYC I remember being wowed and realising¬† then that there was so much outside my tiny village. when I left school I decided to study Travel & Tourism as I knew I wanted to go into the travel industry and was a passion of mine.

When I was 18 my brother said about us going on an mini adventure… 5 months, 14 countries and 3 continents later including trekking the Annapurna circuit…. I have never looked back.

My next adventure was a little different as I thought it was a good idea to try and hitchhike (again, with my brother) from London to Prague not paying for any transport at all. Not quite sure what was going through our heads but it was all worth it as it was for charity! This took us a total of 3 days

After this I gave the travel bug to my best friend and we went away for two months visiting a total of 6 countries in South East Asia.

In 2011 I wanted to achieve something that was big for me. so I grabbed my brother and we flew to Nepal 16 days trekking Everest base camp living in a sleeping bag eating rice and a mars bar. when we got to the top for me it was emotional as I wasn’t fit my training consisted of running two miles a day a month before we left. but I got there minus a little altitude sickness and I feel this is my greatest achievement.

I met my husband in 2011 and our first big travel adventure was wandering around USA, coast to coast. We hired a car to drive around the west coast (including California, Nevada, and Arizona) before flying over to the East coast to take in the likes of New York (again), Washington and Florida. This was an extra special trip for me as it’s when my¬† husband, Gary, proposed to me in the very romantic Yosemite National Park.

Before and since we have had several smaller trips all over the world but our next big adventure was a 3-week trip in a campervan driving through Canada. This was our first Honeymoon (yes, you read this right we had 2 honeymoons!). Our second honeymoon was much more luxurious in Mexico, although we still couldn’t help but travel around. I am definitely not the type of person to sit around a resort, by the pool or beach.

It’s fair to say that I have a lot of experience travelling around the world, although there’s so much I still want to do. One of the¬†reasons why I decided to do a blog is that I wanted to write down all my travels and share my experiences so when I have kids I can read them my adventures. Also I thought it would be great giving you the best tips, reviews of hotels that I have stayed in and try to help and inspire people with itineraries and helping them decide where they want to go. I know it can be very daunting not knowing where to start but once you get the bug there’s no looking back.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me and I hope I have inspired you to follow your dreams. If you want to tell me about yourself it would be great to hear from you just comment below.

Much Love Hannah x
