What is Intermittent Fasting
Some people have not heard of if they have heard of this they all say starving yourself is not the answer. Fasting and starving is not the same thing. When you practise Fasting it must be done correctly and safely. It has proven to have many benefits on your mind and body.

How do you do Intermittent Fasting?
There are many types of fasting that you can do and you can decided what is best for you. The most popular plan out there is 16:8
On the 16:8 plan you have a eating window during the day for 8 hours and then the other 16 hours you don’t eat. You can choose the time that you start eating and when you want to finish. I start eating at midday which means I have to stop eating at 8pm. Recently being in the Lockdown I have been doing 11am eat and 7pm finish.
To loose weight you need to do more try exercising before you start eating this will help your metabolism to work better as your burning your fat that’s stored. Plant based diet can help or just a healthy change to what you normally eat.
Remember: if you consume any form of calories in the fasting window it breaks the fast and will not have any benefit on your body.
Below is an example of my fasting.
7am- wake up have lemon water
12pm- your first meal of the day. Lunch aim for something healthy like a salad lots of protein
2pm- Low carb snack
4pm- another snack
7pm- Dinner and be done by 8pm and this will be the start of the 16 hour fast
11pm Bedtime continute to fast until 12pm the next day.
I drink only water throughout the day I end up drinking about 6- 8 pints of water a day.
What did I eat a day in fasting.
Drinking lemon water to start my day will help boost your metabolism. I have a salad or an omelette with Avocado and spinach. My low carb snacks can be a yoghurt with fruit, my next snack will be something I can’t live without and that’s chocolate I will have abit or I will have some more fruit or protein bar for dinner I eat what ever I fancy Pizza, pasta I just reduce the amount of carbs that I take in and I do one day carbs the next day no carbs.
